Sophia has lived in Derby since 2004. She worked and developed herself academically in Applied Criminology with Psychology at Derby University and currently works for the Council as a Relief Assistant Unit Manager.

Sophia also holds a post as a Workplace Organiser, Health and Safety Representative for the Derby City Council branch of the GMB. In 2017, she was privileged to be nominated as a Delegate speaker to represent the Derby branch and presented the first ever Motion the branch had submitted at the National Equality Conference in Wales.

Sophia enjoys working to empower the residents of Derby and likes to challenge difficult situations to achieve positive outcome.
