I have lived in Alvaston for 15 years and attended my first Community Panel meeting nine years ago. I was voted Chair in 2002. I was the CHIP’s representative for 6 years, DACP representative for 5 years, a member of their Management Committee for over 3 years and Chair for the last 2 years. I became a TAROE representative for 3 years, and was voted a member of the Management team in 2002. I have also been a volunteer for Cancer Research, I really enjoyed this work and believe I made a real contribution as a shop manager. I feel that I can offer the Board my experience and help with tenant consultation, which will enable Derby Homes to become a more helpful and meaningful organisation in Derby working closely with tenants and leaseholders.
