John is an experienced senior manager with a track record of delivering complex housing programmes and projects across the country. He has 30 years experience in regeneration, housing and project development gained through working in the public, private and voluntary sectors. He has been strategic director, head of housing and homelessness manager. He has run his own company offering housing consultancy and programme management services to national, regional and local clients. Between 1999 and 2002, John worked for Derby City Council as Housing Regeneration Manager and then Derby Homes as Business Development Manager. He has retained links with Derby since that time and has a personal commitment to working with tenants and residents and the development of excellent housing services in the city. John has recently worked on a programme to support housing growth in Derby and its surrounding districts and is currently working on an improvement and efficiency programme in Leicestershire. John is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, has a Masters in Business Administration and is a registered PRINCE2 project management practitioner.
